But as Chance investigates, he becomes entangled in a string of murders—and a romance with the pilot’s sister (Margaret Leighton). Penned by TV and radio’s master of the mysterious, Francis Durbridge, and directed by Wendy Toye (The Stranger Left No Card). Time Is My Enemy (1954) – Small-time crook Martin Radley (Dennis Price) returns home after a long absence to discover his wife Barbara (Renée Asherson) has remarried, believing him killed in the Blitz. Thus the Radleys commence a deadly game of blackmail in this fast-paced, paranoia-laced thriller directed by Don Chaffey (The Man Upstairs). They Can’t Hang Me (1955) – Billed as “a thrill-a-minute story behind today’s atomic headlines,” this Cold War drama follows a senior civil servant (André Morell) who, while awaiting execution for murder, offers to trade the identity of a master spy smuggling atomic secrets in exchange for his life.
